The Cat’s Pyjamas Preschool & Nursery operates on a sessional basis - morning, afternoon, full day and full week
sessions. For example if you book your child in for a full day i.e 7:30am - 6pm the full day rate is payable. However
you are welcome to drop off or collect your child anytime within the session.
Morning and afternoon sessions must be booked for a minimum of 4 hours. Full day sessions must be booked for a
minimum of 8 hours. However, you are welcome to drop off or collect you child at any time within a session.
All children must be booked in for a minimum of 2 sessions per week.
A $30.00 non-refundable deposit must be paid at the time of enrolment in order to reserve a space.
2 weeks notice is required for changes to your child’s booking.
3 weeks notice is required when canceling your child’s booking.
Payment Method
The Cat’s Pyjamas’ preferred method of payment is by direct debit.
Eftpos is available.

We do not currently accept payment by credit card.
Payment Frequency
Payment of fees is required fortnightly in advance. Fortnightly fees must be paid on the first day your child attends the
Centre.
If fees are outstanding for longer than 3 weeks a ten percent penalty fee may be added to your account.
If fees are outstanding for longer than 4 weeks your childs enrolment may be cancelled.
All fees must be paid in full prior to leaving the centre. Any outstanding fees will be passed on to Baycorp Debt Collection
Agency for recovery at your cost.
Late Fees
A late charge of $5 per 5 minutes will be charged to any family who have not collected their child by closing time. A late
fee may also be applied if your child is not picked up by their booked time and the centre has not been advised.
We will do everything we can to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee availability of an extended booking.
The total number of children present at the centre at any time as well as the ratio of teachers to children are governed
by the Education (Early Childhood Services) Regulations 2008. A preschool that fails to adhere to these regulations risks
losing its license. We appreciate your co-operation with this matter.



The centre is closed on statutory holidays. Statutory holidays and sick days are payable in full, with no probability of
makeup days.
A 50% deduction off the normal rate of fees payable is given for holidays taken by children with full-time bookings.
Two weeks notice must be given in writing. A maximum of 4 weeks holiday can be taken in any year.
Holidays discounts are not available to children receiving 20 Hours ECE.
The centre will be closed for 2 weeks over the christmas period. No fees are payable during this time.
A 10% discount is offered for the youngest sibling if more than one child from the same family is enrolled at the same time
and provided both children are under 3 years of age.

20 Hours ECE Fees
These fees apply to the following children:
all children aged 3, 4 or 5 years who have not used their 20 Hours ECE entitlement at another ECE provider.
5 year olds receiving special education support as part of a formal ‘transition to school’ plan.
Morning and afternoon sessions are 5 hours in duration. However you are welcome to drop off or collect your child at
anytime during the sessions, which run from 7:30am - 12:30pm and 1pm - 6pm respectively. Under the 20 Hours ECE
scheme 6 hours a day will be free of charge to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
Full day sessions are structured around an 8 hour session. However you are welcome to drop off or collect your child
at anytime during the session which runs from 7:30am - 6pm. Under the 20 Hours ECE scheme 6 hours will be free + 2
hours charged, up to a maximum of 20 hours per week.
End of Year Tax Receipts
As of 2012 budget, tax receipts are no longer required for the normal Childcare Tax Credit (see link HERE). Tax Receipts are
now only required for donations.
